Lithium-Ion
Advanced Power are proud to have supplied and installed one of the first of a new generation of UPS systems that bring the incredible power density of Li-Ion battery technology to the data centre. The benefits of these systems are clear when square footage is in high demand. A like for like Li-Ion UPS system requires 50 – 75% less space than that of a conventional Lead-Acid or NiCd system, leaving more space for revenue generating equipment. Other benefits of Li-Ion include extended battery life and reduced cooling requirements. Embedded monitoring at the battery, module, and cabinet level provides a picture of battery runtime and health, with the added benefits of predictable, consistent runtime performance and stable cell health.
